UT 7420

Next-Generation Platform
Supply & Oil Spill Response Vessel

A new benchmark in clean, intelligent offshore support

Designed by Kongsberg Maritime to the latest Petrobras OSRV/PSV 5000 requirements, the UT 7420 is a 91.8-metre platform supply vessel that combines exceptional cargo capacity with a full oil spill response capability – built around one of the most advanced hybrid power and automation packages available in the offshore market today.

Hybrid Power

Ready for the fuels of tomorrow

At the heart of the vessel is a 1000 V DC grid diesel-electric power plant with four variable-speed generator sets and a water-cooled lithium-ion energy storage system of approximately 900 kWh.

The battery delivers peak shaving, spinning reserve and blackout recovery and can hold the vessel on DP for 20 minutes on battery power alone.

All four main engines meet IMO Tier III and are prepared for future conversion to ethanol/MGO dual-fuel operation.

A 440 V shore power connection allows the vessel to plug in and shut down its engines completely in port.
